Shotgun With Leds
RAD-R800 7215 00

Part No. R800 7215 00

  • Configurable for 1x4 mono or 2x2 stereo
  • Isolated outputs eliminate ground loops
  • Buffered outputs drive extra long cables
  • CLC™ Consistent Load Compensation circuit

The Shotgun™ is a compact guitar-level signal buffer designed to drive up to four amplifiers simultaneously and fit nicely on any pedalboard. It features two inputs with a switching jack on input-2 that - when connected - changes the architecture from a 1x4 mono distribution system to a 2x2 stereo setup. The Shotgun is equipped with CLC™ – Radial's unique Consistent Load Compensation circuit that retains a stable input impedance to ensure the character of the signal remains unchanged, no matter if you use one or two sources.

Inside, a carefully designed low noise buffer circuit with a full-surface ground plane delivers your tone further – up to 15 meters (50') without noise. This is augmented with isolation transformers on outputs 2, 3 and 4 to help eliminate the nasty buzz and hum caused by ground loops when multiple amps are connected together. And like all Radial products, the Shotgun is made tough to handle the rigors of professional touring. Powering is done using standard 9V supply or multi-pedal power brick.

When used in the 1x4 mono-mode, the Shotgun will effortlessly drive multiple amplifiers, direct box outputs and modeling amplifiers at the same time. In 2x2 stereo-mode, you can connect the output from your stereo chorus to the Shotgun and drive two or four amps in stereo, in phase, without noise.

The Shotgun… delivers more boom, less smoke and bullet-proof performance!

RAD-R800 7079 00

The EFX-Bumper is a compact solution for guitar players who use multiple effects pedal loops, but have limited pedalboard space. The EFX-Bumper can switch between up to four pedals or groups of pedals, using a single footswitch to cycle between the loops. This allows you to connect a wah pedal to loop-1, distortion to loop-2, modulation to loop-3, and chorus and delay pedals to loop-4; activating a loop is as easy as hitting the Loop Select footswitch until the LED for the desired loop illuminates. Multiple loops can be engaged at the same time, using 3-position assign switches that determine which combination of loops activate together. A second footswitch can be set to engage all loops at once, or bypass them completely. Compact and rugged, the EFX Bumper is built with 14-gauge steel and heavy duty connectors and switches, and is powered via a standard 9V power supply.

PZ-SELECT TWO CHANNEL INSTRUMENT SWITCHER
RAD-R800 7208 00
* Switch between piezo and magnetic pickups instantly
* Separate outputs for stage amps and PA system
* Drag control load correction for natural electric tone
* Perfect switcher for those that use electric & acoustic on stage

The Radial PZ-Select is a feature-packed signal switcher designed to work with today's new breed of hybrid electric guitars and basses that employ both magnetic and piezo pickups. It is also perfectly suited for players that need to switch between electric and acoustic instruments and send separate signals to the on-stage amps and PA system.
The design begins with two separate channels: The first is dedicated for electric guitar - the second is optimized for acoustic. Two easy access footswitches allow the artist to effortlessly select between pickups for a seamless performance on stage. The magnetic-electric pickup channel features Radial's award winning class-A buffer for absolute signal integrity. This is augmented with Drag Control (TM) load correction to counter the effect of the buffer for a more natural tone. The piezo-acoustic channel features an ultra-high 10meg-Ohm impedance that at once broadens the frequency response while smoothing out the peaks and edginess that often plagues these transducers. A built-in 3-position high-pass (low cut) filter helps eliminate excessive bottom end which could cause the sound to be muddy and indistinct. When used with an acoustic instrument, the filter works with the 180 deg polarity reverse to help eliminate resonant feedback. A low-pass (high-cut) filter has been included to help warm the sound of active piezo systems that can often sound harsh.
There are two outputs to choose from: A standard ¼" output to feed a stage amp and a built-in Radial DI box to deliver the piezo-acoustic tone direct to the PA system via a low-Z balanced XLR out. A dedicated effects loop on the piezo channel lets you connect a series of pedals to feed both outputs. Selecting channels is simply a matter of depressing the associated footswitch. Bright full-sized LEDs provide visual clarity under stage lights to show the selected channel. Even when off, the signal from both pickups are combined and sent to the dedicated tuner out for quiet on stage adjustments.
The PZ-Select... a powerful switcher that lets you seamlessly select pickups and instruments using the power of your feet!

Tonebone DRAGSTER LOAD CORRECTION DEVICE
RAD-R800 7075 00
* Adjusts the load on magnetic pickup for a natural sound
* Warms up the tone of harsh sounding active buffers
* Helps improve the sound of your wireless system
* Compact and lightweight, can be used anywhere!

The Radial Dragster is a super-compact load correction device that lets you adjust the load on your electric guitar pickup to replicate the sound as if connected directly to a tube guitar amp.
When a guitar is connected to a guitar amplifier, the pickup and the amp join together to form a circuit. But as soon as you introduce a buffer in between the pickup and the amplifier, the natural relationship is lost. The pickup only 'sees' the buffer and the tone changes. This is the fundamental reason why guitarists hate the sound of wireless systems and non-true-bypass pedals. The Dragster solves the problem by restoring the full rich tone you lose when you plug your guitar into a wireless transmitter or other types of buffered inputs such as effects pedals, mixing consoles, sound cards or all-in-one recording systems.
The Dragster is plug & play easy to use. You simply connect your guitar or bass to the Dragster using one of the ¼" inputs and then exit the Dragster using the other. Set the thumb wheel to the sound you like and you are set to go! The compact design makes it easy to fit on any pedalboard while the built-in mounting flanges make it a breeze to attach to a guitar strap. And its unobtrusive size and light weight won't slow you down. Few guitar accessories offer the tremendous 'bang-for-the buck' of a Dragster.
The Dragster – a load correction device that sounds so good, you will use it on everything.

Tonebone ELEVATOR
RAD-R800 7225 00
* 100% discrete, class-A circuit for absolute purity
* Drag Control load correction for natural tone
* Lets you customize your signal for optimal performance
* Delivers up to 18dB of ultra-clean power boost

The Elevator is a unique multi-level power booster and buffer that provides the guitarist with a degree of customization to better match the playing style with the guitar, amplifier and pedal chain.
The design begins with a 100% discrete class-A signal path that is completely void of integrated circuits (ICs). Each gain stage is carefully crafted for optimal gain without introducing extraordinary levels of phase-cancelling negative feedback to control the ICs.
This circuit topology eliminates problems, such as zero-cross distortion, which tends to cause other boosters to sound harsh.
On the ground floor (Level 1), a selector switch allows you to set the Elevator to true-bypass for those that prefer a direct feed to the amp when the power booster is out of the circuit. Level-2 lets you activate a unity gain buffer that will drive your guitar signal to 15 meters (50') without noise.
This eliminates problems such as tone loss due to cables and popping when switching with high gain amps. This setting also activates the level-3 Drag, Control load correction circuit that replicates the 'tone and feel' of being connected directly to your amp.
Level-4 pushes things up a notch with a 'baseline' power booster that drives the front end of the amp for more crunch and bite.
This recessed 'set & forget' control is particularly useful with vintage amps that produce less gain than today's more modern designs. Level-5 is a super clean power booster that is activated using the footswitch. This variable booster delivers up to 18dB of pure gain for soloing.
Level-6 is a three-position mid boost switch that lets you increase the mid range content for added sustain.
The compact enclosure fits nicely on any pedalboard and is powered using a standard Boss-style 9V DC power supply.
A sturdy footswitch controls the internal gold-sealed military grade relay for maximum durability while the solid 14 gauge steel outer casing protects the sensitive internal electronics, eliminating opportunity to torque the PCB and cause premature failure.
These features combine to make the Elevator one of the most powerful sounding power boosters ever.

Tonebone BIGSHOT PB1
RAD-R800 7220 00
* Fully variable class-A power booster for solos
* Buffer drives multiple pedals and long cables
* Drag™ control load correction for natural tone
* Ultra linear performance for natural boost

The Radial BigShot PB1 is a combination signal buffer and power booster designed to provide exceptional sonic performance in a compact yet easy to use pedal.
Unlike most buffers that employ integrated circuit chips (ICs) that color the tone and give buffers a bad name, the BigShot PB1 employs the same 100% discrete class-A circuitry that is used in the award winning Radial JD7 Injector and employed by many of the world's most discerning guitarists including Carlos Santana, John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Neil Schon and John Mayer. The JD7's discrete class-A circuit is preferred over off-the-shelf class-B chips due to reduced zero-cross distortion, improved phase response and the resulting smooth Bessel curve that delivers beautifully cascading even-order harmonics and natural warmth. This is augmented with Drag™ Control load correction that lets you adjust the impedance on your pickups and dial-in the tone and feel as if connected directly to your amp.
Upon first view, you will notice that the PB1's top panel is clear of all controls. These have been moved out of the way and recessed on the rear panel so that they can be set and then forgotten. This 'smart solution' makes it impossible to accidentally kick the controls when on a dark stage. You merely use a guitar pick to adjust the Drag™ and then set the boost level for up to +15dB of pure joy. The PB1 is equally effective as a buffer for your effects or for pounding your 20 watt Super Champ into sublime overload. Once in your pedal chain, the PB1 will enable long cable runs of up to 15 meters (50') while reducing susceptibility to noise and interference.
The PB1 may only have a footswitch and status LED on the top – but it delivers more feel and soul than any other power booster in its class. The BigShot PB1 is likely the finest power booster ever made.

Stagebug SB-15 Tailbone
RAD-R800 0115 00
* 100% discrete Class-A buffer
* Drag™ control load correction
* Drives pedals to 15 meters (50')
* Converts two 9V supplies to 15 VDC

The Radial SB-15 Tailbone is a high performance signal buffer designed to sit at the beginning of the signal chain and drive multiple pedals without the added noise that often plagues high impedance circuits.

The ultra-compact design begins with a standard Hi-Z instrument input. The signal is then 'tamed' using Radial's unique Dragster™ load correction circuit to replicate the tone and feel as if connected directly to the amplifier. The signal is then buffered via a 100% discrete, class-A unity gain amplifier. Unlike most others that employ ICs or integrated circuits to buffer the signal, the discrete design reduces the need for phase-cancelling negative feedback producing a more natural and pleasing tone. This is further advanced with the same award winning class-A buffer that is in the Radial JD7 and used by guitarists as diverse as Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Steve Lukather and many others. Once buffered, the Tailbone lowers the impedance and susceptibility to hum and buzz caused by radio interference and electromagnetic fields. The SB-15 is then able to drive multiple pedals distances of 15 meters (50') without noise.

The SB-15 Tailbone is powered by a standard Boss-style 9V supply (not included). As an extra bonus, when using a Tonebone pedal that requires 15V on your pedalboard, you can combine two 9V outputs from your power brick and the Tailbone will convert them to 15VDC and provide the correct voltage polarity. This makes adding a high-end Tonebone to your pedalboard easy!

The Radial SB-15 Tailbone delivers exceptional sonic quality, reduces noise and adds the convenience of 15VDC power for your Tonebone.

Mix-Blender
RAD-R800 7207 00
* Mix two instruments or effects together at same time
* Blend in effects while retaining the tone of your instrument
* Class-A buffered inputs with individual level controls
* Opens door to creating subtle or unique effects

The Radial Tonebone Mix-Blender™ is a multi-function pedal that lets you mix two instruments or effects together and then send the combined signal through a mixer-style effects loop for processing.
Designed to work with guitar, bass and keyboards, the Mix-Blender begins with two high-performance Class-A buffers for maximum fidelity. These lower the impedance to drive the signal further without noise. Individual volume controls on each channel let you mix the two inputs to suit and can be used to blend two pickups on an acoustic guitar, combine two pedals in parallel such as a chorus and a distortion, or to have two different instruments 'live' on stage – each set with the same output for quick changeovers.
The signal can then be routed to a true 'mixer-style' effects loop and activated using the on-board footswitch. This features a wet-dry blend control that lets you mix-in effects pedals with precise control to add slight enhancements or extreme coloration to the signal chain. In other words, the Mix-Blender lets you retain the original sound of the instrument and add in as much of the effect as you like. Think of adding a touch of overdrive to a bass guitar without losing the bottom end. How about mixing in some distortion to your acoustic guitar to give it more shimmer? How about adding a chorus or phase shifter to your Hammond synth patch?
The Mix-Blender is a unique tool that is designed to bring new tonal textures to your world and enhance your creative inner spark.

JDX Direct Drive Amp Simulator and DI Box
RAD-R800 1404 00
Guitar amp simulator for pedalboards
Eliminates need to bring an amp to the gig
4 x 12, half-stack & open back combo tone

The Radial™ JDX Direct-Drive is a unique and powerful device that simulates the sound of a guitar amplifier while doubling as a direct box. Unlike a typical direct box that merely transfers the sound of the pedals to the PA, the Direct-Drive simulates the tone and feel of a real guitar amp, producing a much more realistic sound. In other words, with the Direct-Drive on your pedalboard, you can do a gig without carrying an amp to the club.
The design begins with a traditional ¼” guitar input and passive thru-put to feed a stage amp. This is then followed by a dedicated tuner output that is buffered in order to eliminate loading on the pickup or noise from the quartz clock. The guitar signal is then passed through a series of carefully sculpted filters to create Radial’s signature JDX tone. This is modelled after the sound of a Shure SM57™ in front of a Marshall™ 4-12 cabinet. The Direct-Drive goes further with two more voicing settings: The first adds a vintage Marshall™ tube head character to the signal path while the second delivers a tone reminiscent of an early Fender Twin™. The two amp tones can be further tailored using a presence switch for extra sparkle. The guitar signal exits the Direct-Drive via either a ¼” guitar-level output or via a balanced XLR to feed the PA. The direct box output is outfitted with a 180° polarity reverse switch to help phase-align monitors with the stage amp along with a ground lift switch to help eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops. The Direct-Drive may be powered using a standard 9V power supply or typical pedalboard power brick.
As with all Radial products, the Direct-Drive is made to handle the rigors of professional touring with 14-gauge steel throughout. This not only helps prevent damage to the internal PCB, it also reduces susceptibility to noise from external magnetic fields.
The Radial JDX Direct-Drive… one small step on a pedal board, one huge step for the guitarist!

Note: Note the companies mentioned above are not related to Radial and are only referenced in order to give the reader a sense of the type of tone the Direct-Drive will produce at the various voicing settings.
