HotShot DM1 Stage Mic Toggle
RAD-R800 1500 00
* Redirects mic signal to communicate with techs
* Lets band members with in-ear monitors chat between songs
* Momentary switch requires foot action to engage
* Passive design does not require any power to work

Designed to address on-stage communication problems for artists who employ in-ear monitoring systems, the HotShot™ DM1 is a combination microphone signal splitter and mute switch that allows you to depress a footswitch to mute your mic and redirect the signal to the stage monitoring system or intercom to speak with band members or technicians while on stage.

Using the DM1 is easily done using any dynamic microphone: connect the mic to the input and the main output to the mixer. Add a second cable from the monitor out to feed a common intercom buss. As soon as you depress the momentary footswitch, the signal going to the main output is muted and redirected to the monitoring system. This allows the musician to discretely speak with other band members or discuss a technical problem with the crew. As soon as the footswitch is released, the system automatically reverts back to normal operation, thus eliminating the need for LED indicators or local powering.

As with all Radial stage switchers, the HotShot DM1 is designed to be heavy enough to 'stay put' while being extra durable to handle the rigours of professional touring. Made in Canada, it features 14 gauge steel construction and durable powder coat finish with a heavy-duty footswitch and isolated XLR connectors.

The HotShot DM-1 is a simple passive switcher that makes communication on stage possible.

MC3 Monitor Controller
RAD-R800 1410 00
* Passive studio monitor switcher with headphone amp
* Control two sets of monitors and sub woofer
* Mono sum for AM radio compatibility and phase check
* Individual 'set & forget' controls to fine tune levels

The Radial MC3 monitor controller is a studio tool that enables the engineer to quickly select between reference monitors, sub woofer or headphones and compare how the mix translates via various playback systems. Unique to the MC3 is the ability to quickly sum mono for AM radio compatibility.
And while most monitor switchers are active the MC3 is 100% passive. This means that unlike active switchers that introduce a buffered electronic circuit in between your recording system and monitors, the MC3 delivers straight wire performance. This eliminates coloration and distortion for more accurate monitoring.
The MC3 features an easy access level control that lets you quickly set playback levels on all speakers. Each output is equipped with a top-mount 'set & forget' dial to fine tune outputs for the ideal balance. The sub is augmented with a 180 degree polarity reverse to help deal with room modes that may cause a frequency bump in the mix position. A separate Dim switch is also adjustable to enable the engineer to temporarily drop the playback level without affecting the mix level settings. To address the ever increasing popularity of ear buds, the Radial MC3 is equipped with a built-in headphone amplifier with stereo 3.5mm (1/8" TRS) output along with two standard 1/4" headphone phone outs to share. The MC3 may be configured for either balanced or unbalanced setups.

GOLD DIGGER 4-Channel Mic Selector
RAD-R800 1440 00
* Four selectable inputs with trim adjusts
* Straight wire distortion-free signal path
* Will not introduce color or artifact
* Increases artist's confidence when recording

The Gold Digger is a 4-channel mic selector that enables the engineer to quickly compare the sound of four different microphones while sharing the same preamp. A 'straight wire' passive circuit design is void of any audio buffers or transformers. Instead, the Gold Digger employs military grade gold contact relays to manage the switching process, thus ensuring the pristine mic signal is maintained without introducing color, distortion or artefact of any kind.
Features include four rear-mounted XLR-F mic inputs plus an XLR-m output to feed the preamp. To eliminate bleed between microphones, each channel is equipped with a 'radio style' selector switch that ensures only one mic is on at a time. The external supply provides power for the LED indicators, charges the relays and enables the Gold Digger to generate 48 volt phantom which can be turned on or off for each mic as needed. To ensure an 'honest' comparison between microphones, individual 'set & forget' trim controls let you adjust each mic level so that they produce the same relative output. Once set up, the Gold Digger not only improves workflow, but also gives the artist more confidence with the sound of the vocal, resulting in a better overall performance.
The Gold Digger – A tool designed to get the very best out of each and every performance.

CHERRY PICKER Studio Preamp Selector
RAD-R800 1442 00
* Select the best mic & preamp combination
* Passive 'straight wire' color-free signal path
* Built-in 48V phantom power for condenser mics
* Improve the workflow efficiency in your studio

The Radial Cherry Picker is a unique tool designed to improve efficiency and workflow in the studio by simplifying the process of matching the best preamp with a microphone for a given track. This is most often done when recording vocals. This improves the sonic character of the track and provides the vocalist with a more comfortable sound, which in turn allows for a better performance.
Four front panel 'radio style' selector switches select the active preamp while automatically disconnecting the mic from the others. Completely passive and 100% discrete, the Cherry Picker features a 'straight wire' signal path. There is no active circuitry whatsoever in between the mic signal and the preamp. The audio signal switching is performed by a series of military-grade gold contact sealed relays for zero coloration and distortion to ensure a fair and honest comparison between preamps.
The rear panel is equipped with a balanced XLR input for the microphone and four balanced XLR outputs to feed the various preamps. When using a studio condenser, the Cherry Picker internally generates 48V phantom power so that switching between preamps will not disrupt the phantom power going to the microphone. This could otherwise cause severe popping in the audio system and headphones. Separate ground lift switches for each output help reduce noise by eliminating ground loops plus a handy mute switch turns all outputs off, enabling the engineer to leave the preamp settings untouched when testing out other mics.
The Cherry Picker... a tool designed to improve performance, sound and workflow at the same time.

Twin Line Effects loop interface for two amps.
RAD-R800 1430 00
* Shares your pedalboard between two amp loops
* Lets you optimise the signal path for each amp
* Works with pedals or balanced studio processors
* Can be remotely controlled using a footswitch

The Radial Twinline™ is a unique device that enables a guitarist to share effects pedals between two amps when using the amplifier's built-in (rear-panel) effects loops.
Consider the problem: Many guitarists prefer to use the effects loop in the amplifier to insert pedals into their signal chain. This is particularly useful with delay pedals where applying echo to the signal after the guitar amp's preamp distortion as this results in more distinctive notes and more pleasing sonic results. A problem arises when using two amps on stage: how do you toggle the pedalboard between the two amps? The guitar player must either duplicate his pedal setup (one for each amp) or completely change his setup by connecting the pedals to an AB switcher and then connect the pedals to the front panel inputs of the amps.
The Twinline can be thought of as a pedalboard switcher that lets you remotely toggle the effects from one amp's effects loop to the other, thus allowing the guitarist to share his pedalboard between the two amps. To accomplish this, the Twinline is equipped with two amplifier effects loop circuits – each with separate send and receive levels to optimize the signal path for each amp's effects loop. There is also a third effects loop for the pedalboard. This features a choice of unbalanced ¼" connectors for typical guitar pedals or balanced XLR connections for studio effects. A remote control input is used to toggle the active amplifier's effects loop via a contact closure using a MIDI system or latching footswitch. When used with the optional Radial JR2™ remote, this adds the ability to bypass the effects completely.
As with all Radial products, the Twinline is made from heavy duty 14 gauge steel for ultimate durability and maximum shielding against stray magnetic fields while the book-end design creates a protective zone around the controls and switches. Inside, 100% discrete class-A electronics deliver optimal sonics as it buffers the circuit while transformer isolation eliminates troublesome ground loops that can introduce hum and buzz if left unchecked.
The Radial Twinline brings forth a unique solution to a long standing problem.

SW8 Auto-Switcher
RAD-R800 8100 00
* Switch between two playback systems automatically
* Expandable 'link' with remote control contact closure
* Balanced or unbalanced mic and line level operation
* Transformer isolated DI output on each channel

The Radial SW8 is an 8 channel auto-switcher that allows you to set up a redundant backup system by automatically switching between two sources such as a pair of digital recorders, computers or network systems.
Designed primarily for live concerts and stage shows where backing tracks are used for orchestration, vocals and sound effects, SW8 employs an adjustable gate to detect a machine malfunction and automatically switch to a second 'backup' machine to deliver a seamless performance. One merely records a steady state signal on a track and feeds it to the SW8. Should the signal drop, the SW8 will automatically switch to the B system and 'sound' an alarm. Switching can also be performed manually via the front panel A~B switch, a rear access latching switch or by using the optional Radial JR2 footswitch. For larger systems, multiple SW8s may be linked together to create 16, 24 or 32 track systems.
Housed in a heavy duty 14-gauge steel 19" enclosure, the Radial SW8 is equipped with choice of 25-pin D-sub or ¼" TRS connector inputs with both XLR and D-Sub outputs. The front panel XLRs produce a balanced DI mic level to feed a snake system and are transformer isolated to eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops. The rear panel D-Sub provides direct balanced line level connectivity and the transformer isolated outputs may be internally re-patched to send the mic level signal to the 25 pin D-sub output if needed. To further suppress switching noise, a series of internal filters help eliminate DC offset from offending source devices. A global mute switch may be engaged that turns off the XLR outs, enabling you to audition and cue tracks on the fly. This is augmented by a standby switch that holds the SW8 on the source-A inputs in between songs.
