Nano takes Ehrlund's technology and qualities, such as the well-known phase accuracy, midrange and frequency range, to an attractive mid-price segment.

The microphone, which is designed and built in Siljanäs in Sweden, carries the DNA of Ehrlund Microphones' well-known studio microphone EHR-M and is equipped with a patented triangular-shaped large-diaphragm capsule, which is a hallmark of the company's products. Nano also has Ehrlund's patented amplifier and power circuits built-in.

EAP Pickup

A linear contact microphone for instruments with an acoustic sound box

The Ehrlund Acoustic Pickup (EAP) is a linear contact microphone for instruments with an acoustic sound box such as the guitar, violin, double bass and ethno-instruments. It is 100 per cent Swedish manufactured and based on the same know-how as other Ehrlund products.

A linear microphone means the pickup reproduces a flat frequency response. The EAP Pickup captures the vibrations in the acoustic instrument, which enables the microphone to deliver very good separation even in normally “impossible” environments where the other musicians are generating high sound levels on their respective instruments. The EAP Pickup has achieved very good results in test performances, even with incongruous combinations such as Heavy Metal and cello.

Every instrument is unique and finding the right location for the best sound is a matter of trial and error. The EAP Pickup is easy to move around between different instruments.It is simple to attach to the sound box with adhesive putty. You can even mount the pickup on the inside of the instrument through the sound hole.

PREAMP

Extremely low self-noise, especially developed for Ehrlund Acoustic Pickup

The Ehrlund Preamp has extremely low self noise and low power consumption. It is optimized for use together with the EAP Pickup. It has the power to drive most accessories arising, such as foot pedals, effects pedals and Di-boxes with transformers.

The preamp comes with belt clips for easy attachment to the waistband. It is powered by a 9 volt battery, has an extended operating life of 600 hours and disconnects itself when the output cable is unplugged. The preamp has adjustable volume control, high/low level switch and phase switch to avoid acoustic feedback during live performances.

You can buy the EAP Pickup and EAP Preamp separate, or in a set EAP SYSTEM together with the Preamp.

FUNCTIONS

VOLUME Controll

INPUT 6.3mm jack plug

OUTPUT 6.3mm jack plug. The battery will be cut off as soon as the cable is disconnected.

PHASE The phase changing shift stops the soundboard of the instrument from resonating and therefore prevents feedback. I.e. when using monitors the phase shift possibilities avoid that the monitor speakers counteract to the vibrations of the instrument. The immediate effect is that the sound will be better.

HIGH/LOW High and low input adjustment.

POWERED Standard 9 volt battery that will last for at least 600 hrs

The Preamp is extremely quiet. It can also be used by electrical guitar for direct input to a mixer table.

EAP Preamp, Phantom powered

Preamp for the EAP Pickup, powered from mixer or other equipment.

EAP phantom powered preamp is powered by 48 V from mixer or amplifier. This gives even better signal-to-noise ratio and higher output signal compared to the battery powered model. Otherwise, the design is the same as the battery powered model.

EHR-H

EHR-D is a mic special designed for Drums, but many engineers is using it for Guitars and Horns as well.

It can handle way more SPL then th EHR-M and the houseing is made for rough live in the road.

It has more background dampening and and is not as wide as EHR-E, this to isolate drum to drum leakage.

Toms and snares sounds amazing in this little friend and standard tom mounts are great if you like to use stands off.

A light, studio microphone suitable for most instruments. The EHR-E can handle very high sounds. Due to its small format, it’s very versatile in usage and is great for electric guitars, horns, toms, snares and vocals.

The EHR-E has an open, airy mesh to minimise acoustic filtering of sounds; a robust build, light weight and small size. It has a slightly narrower polar pattern than true cardioid which makes it great for miking instruments without getting other sounds ‘bleeding in’ from the sides. The convenient size and weight makes it easy to place on drums, horns, guitar amplifiers and other instruments.

The EHR-M is a Swedish manufactured condenser microphone for studio use, designed for music and song recording. Its patented triangular capsule design has been allied to a very low noise and low power phantom feed amplifier. It has been designed to deliver the cleanest sound possible. This enables complex signals to be reproduced in their original form. The sound becomes transparent and relaxed.

The microphone has broad and smooth pickup characteristics, with deep bass and extended treble. This microphone has among the lowest self-induced noise and highest sensitivity on the market. The output signal is so strong that you do not need a separate microphone amplifier.

EHR-T Microphone

A double version of the EHR-M microphone and one of the few double mics on the market.

EHR-T has the same broad recording characteristics as the EHR-M. The EHR-T gives you almost total flexibility at the mixer table. With two separate outputs per microphone, you can mix signals from the two sides of the mic and adjust the sound pickup characteristics afterwards.

The microphone has a very strong output signal and is literally noise-free. Its unique electronics produced by Research Electronics deliver very low distortion and it has a large dynamic range. The EHR-M1 is a miniature of the classical EHR-M

The Mini M has broad and smooth pickup characteristics, with deep bass and extended highs. It has some of the lowest self-induced noise and highest sensitivity on the market.

Due to the small size but big sound this mic is perfect for choirs and orchestras, horn sections and strings. It has become a favorite among radio hosts as well. For Over Head micing this mic will pick up the bottom from floor toms and kick even if it is positioned over the drummers head. An amazing little creature!
